Meet Dr. Rimi

Dr. Christine Rimi Kobayashi

Born and raised in Honolulu, HI, Dr. Christine Rimi Kobayashi graduated from Northwestern University Dental School in 1998. While attending Northwestern, she became involved with children and dentistry through the People’s Clinic, a student-run clinic for low-income children, and the Colorado Externship, a program that provides dentistry for migrant farmers and their children.

After graduating from dental school, Dr. Rimi continued her dental training in the Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago. During her two-year residency, she was an integral part of the craniofacial team, hematology-oncology team and the emergency department/trauma center. She treated children with various medical and mental needs in both hospital and clinical settings. She also served as chief resident during her second year and taught in the Pediatric Dental Department at Northwestern.

A public lecturer, Dr. Rimi has been practicing pediatric dentistry in northern California since 2000. She offers dental treatment using nitrous oxide, conscious oral sedation and works with pediatric anesthesiologists for treatments under general anesthesia.

She is a member of several professional organizations including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry and the California Dental Association. Dr. Rimi gives back to the community through the Give Kids a Smile program.

She loves the Bay Area and is excited to be in the San Ramon community. Away from the office, Dr. Rimi enjoys spending time with her husband, Dr. Ryan Miyasaki, and children Ellie, Ethan and Emily.
