Meet Dr. Tami

Dr. Tami Fujino

Dr. Tami enjoys practicing Pediatric Dentistry and philanthropic work. In recent years, she has traveled to third world countries to deliver dental care to underserved children. Before becoming a pediatric dentist, she practiced as a general dentist in Chicago and Southern California. It was while she was practicing in a community dental clinic in Los Angeles that she developed the interest and passion to further her career in Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Tami received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Irvine; the Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the Northwestern University Dental School; the Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of California, San Francisco. She also received a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology for studying the effects of antibacterial agents against cariogenic bacteria. She earned the distinction of being a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 2005. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. Tami is a native of Japan, but spent most of her adolescent years in Southern California. She is very active and has many hobbies, including yoga, running, hiking, traveling, and reading. Dr. Tami lives in the East Bay with her husband and children Enzo and Lia.
